Return & Refund Policy
At Riku Ceramics, each piece is crafted with care and often involves artisan techniques or custom design. Due to the fragile nature of ceramics and the individuality of our creations, all sales are considered final. We generally do not accept returns or exchanges once items have been delivered.
However, we recognize that issues can arise, and this policy outlines the limited circumstances in which returns may be accepted.
Handmade Variations
Please note that all Riku Ceramics pieces are handmade or finished with artisan techniques. As a result, minor variations in size, shape, color, texture, or glaze finish are natural and not considered defects. These variations are part of the uniqueness and artistry of each item and will not qualify as grounds for a return or refund.
Return Window
If a return is approved under the limited circumstances below, you must contact us within 30 days of receiving your item to request it.
Eligibility for Returns
Returns are only accepted if:

The item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, and

The item is unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase.
Custom, made-to-order, or personalized pieces are strictly non-returnable.
Please note: because ceramics are delicate, we reserve the right to decline returns if an item arrives damaged due to return shipping. Customers are responsible for proper packaging when returning items.
How to Request a Return
To request a return, please contact us at riku@rikuceramics.com with your order details and photographs of the item.
If your return is approved, you will receive a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, unless the item was received defective, damaged, or incorrect.

In cases of defect, damage, or wrong item, Riku Ceramics will cover return shipping costs.
Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if:

The item is defective,

The item is damaged upon delivery, or
-
You receive the wrong item.
We will review the issue and, if verified, arrange a replacement or refund.
Final Sale / Non-Returnable Items
Unless an item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, all purchases are final sale. This includes but is not limited to:

Custom, personalized, or made-to-order items

Standard items without defect

Items with natural handmade variations (see above)

Exchanges
Because many of our products are unique or limited, we cannot guarantee exchanges. If your return is approved, the best way to ensure you receive the item you want is to place a new order once your refund has been processed.
European Union Customers
If your order is being shipped to the European Union, you have the right under EU law to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. Items must be returned unused, in their original packaging, and with proof of purchase.
Refunds
Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card provider.
